Despite the thought of whatever trash I'd be stepping on, I've always found walking barefoot along flooded streets of Manila during the rainy season an enjoyable time. Of course this was when i was still in grade/high school and walking along the streets of Recto trying to get to the nearest LRT station with my Dad.

On the other hand, I had a similar experience during my recent vacation when I was stuck at an exhibition. It was an international exhibition, so there were a lot of caucasians along the streets outside the exhibition trying to figure out how to cross the road. It was kinda funny to see them tip toeing and trying desperately not to ruin their suits and dresses. I'd probably have enjoyed watching the scene and stayed on a corner until the rain and road flood subsided, but unfortunately , I didn't have the luxury of waiting the rain out because I would miss my flight back to hong kong. So I removed my shoes and socks and walked along ride buses and taxis barefooted.

It was an extremely nostalgic experience, and pretty weird.

I wanted to get a picture of myself, but i was kinda of in a hurry. It would've been one of those nice remembrance pics where youll look back and just laugh.

Next time, walk barefoot. You can always wash your feet later. :)cstiuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15090083899249455393noreply@blogger.com
